Bhaskar is a business leader and marketing expert with close to 40 years in emerging markets of India, SE Asia & Greater China, with FMCG companies like Red Bull, Unilever & Bestfoods. He has led the growth of several nascent categories by introducing pioneering marketing & sales innovations.

Bhaskar is currently Director on the Boards of Polycab India, HDB Financial Services, and European Business Group Federation. In his last role as CEO of Red Bull India, he joined the Indian subsidiary at its inception in India. He led the business set-up to successfully built the new category and occupy the premium position in it. This involved establishing own sales and distribution in the complex Indian environment, building a high caliber team and bringing brand’s iconic marketing mix to Indian youth, resulting in multifold profitable growth.

Prior to returning to India to join Red Bull, Bhaskar spent 21 years in Best Foods of USA and Anglo- Dutch Unilever, in various leadership roles in marketing, sales, and general management. He

earlier held the roles of Vice President, Marketing Operations for Asia, Africa, Middle East, and Turkey with Unilever Asia, based in Singapore; Managing Director Unilever Foods based in Taiwan; and extensive years in Unilever in SE Asia and Far East, leading and managing global categories, brands, and stakeholders. Educated in India with double master’s degrees, he is based in Mumbai with his wife, Poonam who is a Special Educator. His two daughters are pursuing their careers in the USA. He loves exploring new places and new experiences and capturing them through his lens.
