EBG Federation was first established in 1997 and on 11th March, 2015 was made a Section 8 company under the Companies Act 2013 in order to ensure long-term stability and clarity on its purpose as a not-for-profit organisation offering support and advocacy for European businesses in India.  Founded as the European Business Group (EBG), in 1997 then as a joint initiative of the European Commission and the European Business Community in India, EBG has come a long way since then to be recognised by the Indian central and state Governments as the industry advocacy group representing the interest of European companies in India. This year is very special for EBG because it will be completing 25 years of its existence in November, 2025. It is a tribute to the efforts and perseverance of our members, our sponsors and supporters who have ensured this success. I would like to thank each EBG Chairperson, office bearers and members of its Secretariat over past 25 years, for establishing and implementing EBG’s vision of collaborated success for India and Europe. Over years EBG has conducted activities, events, government outreach, and inducted new members, all aimed at harnessing & building trade relationships between India and Europe. Allow me to outline my particular vision for EBG: EBG is highly committed to supporting its members in their business dealings with integrity and professionalism. EBG works to create and deliver member value through focusing resources on critical areas of engagement that will ensure planned smart growth and sustainability for bilateral trade between India and Europe. Over this past year, we have seen many changes and we expect that this upcoming year will be no different.  Membership in the EBG means unparalleled access to business opportunities, strategic events, thought leadership, and networking. I thank each of you for the trust that you have placed in my fellow Board Directors, the Secretariat colleagues and me. Please know that it is my honour and my privilege to do my part, in the service of EBG. Counting on our existing and prospective members for unparalleled growth of EBG in 2025 and years ahead.
