Specialized in the Lubricants field for 45 years. Responsible for establishing joint ventures, foreign collaborations, and entry strategies for India. Played a key role in M&A activities involving foreign multinationals and large Indian Groups. Instrumental in establishing the GULF, PENNZOIL, CALTEX, and FUCHS brand of lubricants in India. Served on the Board of Directors of several companies.

Started career in 1978 with Petrosil Oil Company Ltd. (a Joint Venture between Gulf Oil Corporation USA and the Goenka Group), which I subsequently headed as the Executive-Vice President. In 1997 took over as the Managing Director of the Petrosil Group, which handled assignments for several Multinationals such as CALTEX and Petro-Canada. From 2000 till Retirement in Sept.2022 was the Managing Director of Fuchs Lubricants (India) Pvt. Ltd. (a wholly owned subsidiary of Fuchs Petrolub SE, Germany). Oct.2022 to Sept.2023 continued as a Strategic Advisor to Board of Directors of Fuchs India. Currently strategic advisor to Board of Directors of Zeller+Gmelin Gmbh and Gulf Oil India Ltd.

Chairman of the European Business Group (EBG) Mumbai Chapter from 2006 to 2023; and the Vice Chairman of the Board of EBG Federation from 2013 to 2023. Currently Chairman Emeritus of EBG Mumbai. Rotarian since 2003. President of the Rotary Club of Bombay Mid-Town 2011/12. Member of the Managing Committee / Board of Directors of the Indo German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC) since 2018. President of IGCC 2020/21. Currently on the Advisory Council.
