30.03.2026

Gurugram
On 30th March, the European Business Group (EBG) convened an exclusive closed-door roundtable on Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) in India, in collaboration with its Knowledge Partner, Deloitte, at their Gurugram Cyber City office.
The session offered a comprehensive exploration of the evolving data protection landscape in India, covering critical themes such as personal data processing frameworks, the role of Consent Managers, the responsibilities of Data Fiduciaries, and the mechanisms underlying data breaches. Particular emphasis was placed on the significance of the DPDP Act in safeguarding individual privacy and mitigating risks associated with data misuse. It was implemented in various phases and the deadline for this to be completely in action is 12th May 2027
We were privileged to host an esteemed panel of experts from Deloitte—Goldie Dhama, Dhruv Kaushal,( Regulatory affairs) and Vrinda Kaul (Technology and Transformation)—who shared valuable, practice-driven insights and real-world perspectives, enriching the dialogue.
The discussion was highly engaging and insightful, enabling participants to deepen their understanding of data governance, regulatory compliance, and the operational realities of managing and protecting data within organizations.
We would like to thank all our Board members, EBG team and all the participants who gathered to make this session a success.
EBG remains committed to fostering such meaningful engagements that empower its members to navigate complex regulatory environments and promote responsible, future-ready business practices.
