European Stability Mechanism (ESM) Luncheon

EBG Banking Sector Committee along with the European Stability Mechanism (ESM) organized an exclusive Luncheon for Mr. Klaus Regling, MD,ESM and Mr. Kalin Anev Janse, CFO, ESM at the Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai. The roundtable discussion focused on the current macroeconomic developments within the Eurozone, the role of the ESM and an exchange of views on the Indian economy. Attended by Peter Born, Chief Representative Commerzbank, Dr. Joerg Polster, Head of Department for Economics & Global Affairs for the German Embassy, Nayan Mehta, CFO BSE, Peter Kern, Representative Deutsche Bundesbank, Mr. Anshumaan Gupta, MD BNP Paribas, Soumya Ghosh, SBI Chief Economist, Saugata Bhattacharya Axis Bank, Chief Economist, Rajiv Mohan, Kotak EVP Treasury and Rajni Thakur, RBL Chief Economist. It was overall a successful event. ESM was established 2012 as a permanent firewall for the Eurozone to safeguard and provide instant access to financial assistance programmes for member states of the Eurozone.
