A significant milestone for India–Europe industrial collaboration.
The EBG Federation, India (EBG) is delighted to bring to your attention & heartily congratulates Getzner Werkstoffe, a leading Austrian company providing vibration mitigation solutions for the Indian railway sector, on the inauguration of its manufacturing facility at Baramati near Pune in Maharashtra on 13th March, 2026.
Established under the “ Make in India “ initiative of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, the plant was inaugurated on 13 March by H. E. Mr. Robert Zischg, Ambassador of Austria to India, together with Mrs. Sunetra Ajit Pawar, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
The event was attended by several distinguished dignitaries including Raman Sidhu , Chairman of EBG India; Ujjwal Uke, Former Additional Chief Secretary of Maharashtra; and Juergen Rainalter, CEO of Getzner Werkstoffe, Austria.
Sanjay Risbood , CEO of Getzner India, serves as a Board Member of EBG India and is the Chairman of its Railway Sector Committee.
The facility will initially produce products for the metro rail sector, with future expansion planned for mainline India Railway’s applications. The establishment of this plant through FDI highlights the continued & growing confidence of European businesses in India’s growth trajectory and stability amid evolving global challenges.
