The European Business Group Federation proudly released the 23rd Edition of the Annual EBG Position Paper 2025 at the Herb House, Taj President.
Joiel Akilan, Chairman, and Kersi Hilloo, Chairman Emeritus, EBG Federation, India – Mumbai Chapter welcomed the guests to the event which marked another important milestone in our journey of strengthening European–Indian economic cooperation—a mission we have upheld since 1997. The evening brought together leaders from industry, government, and the European business community for thoughtful exchanges on policy direction, sustainable growth, and the evolving business landscape in Maharashtra and India.
We were honoured by the presence of Shri O. P. Gupta, I.A.S, Additional Chief Secretary (Finance), Government of Maharashtra, and Dr. P Anbalagan IAS, Principal Secretary (Industries), Government of Maharashtra. Their insights offered clear guidance on policy focus areas and reaffirmed the state’s commitment to fostering a stable, growth-oriented environment for European enterprises.
We extend our sincere appreciation to FUCHS India and Rödl & Partner for their support as Gold Sponsors, and to HSBC and Hindustan Unilever (HUL) for their valued contribution as Corporate Sponsors. Their long-standing engagement continues to strengthen our advocacy efforts and reinforces the importance of collaborative industry–government dialogue.
The EBG Position Paper is built on rigorous analysis and sectoral expertise, and we are thankful to our Knowledge Partners—Deloitte, EY, Grant Thornton Bharat LLP, JMP Advisors Private Limited, Nexdigm, and TMF Group—for their invaluable contributions to this year’s edition. Their analytical depth and policy research form the backbone of the publication.
